Maintain this web site!
Maintain the Folk Diary of events in and around Gloucestershire.
Keep an up-to-date directory of bands, dance clubs, performers, etc.
Lobby MPs, Local Councils, and Arts Organisations to ensure folk and traditional music, song, dance, drama,and customs have a voice.
Keep our members informed about local and national issues.
Try to provide members with opportunities to perform for the public.
Facilitate events - lectures, workshops, classes, lectures, music sessions.
Help with information and resources on legislation, licensing, insurance, grants and funding, and technical matters.
Write model policies, eg. Child Protection, which members can adapt and use.
Give advice on matters within our areas of expertise.
Obtain media publicity to help keep folk & traditional music, song, dance, drama and customs in the public eye.
Maintain links with organisations who may be able to help further our aims and objectives.
Assist with setting up new clubs and groups.
Facilitate research projects.
